Battery Reliability: You must have confidence in your batteries to have confidence in your wireless system. Here is how SACOM’s battery management system assures your batteries will work every time. Rechargeable Batteries: Many microphone systems were designed around alkaline batteries, but SACOM’s transmitters are designed to operate best with off-the-shelf, AA, nickel-hydride (NiMH) batteris. This eliminates the cost and inconvenience of changing batteries before every use. In some cases, the savings will recoup the cost of the entire SACOM™ system in one year. Long Life: NiMH batteries are sufficient for most applications. Plan on replacing them about once a year. Available and Replaceable: AA, NiMH batteries are available anywhere batteries are sold. Never send your transmitter back to the factory to change batteries. Simply open the battery door and pop in the replacements. Docking Station Recharger: SACOM™ offers an 8-bay docking station for recharging Hand-held, Belt-pack, Table-top and Gooseneck Podium transmitters. Drop the transmitter into the docking station at the end of a session, and it will be ready to go the next time they are needed. Transmitters typically recharge over night, but they can remain in the dock, fully charged, until they are needed. The SACOM™ Gooseneck microphones are powered by a battery cassette that holds 4 AA batteries. You can charge the gooseneck battery cassette in the Docking Station, or, you can use an external USB power supply for pemanent installs. The system will not try to charge alkaline batteries if they are accidentally set in the docking station. |
