SACOM™ DS 8000 Series Transmitters
SACOM™ DS8000 series transmitters are designed to be the perfect balance between sonic integrity, ergonomic comfort and architectural feasibility even for the most inexperienced microphone user. The lightweight and low profile, rugged aluminum construction allows it to be applied to most road worn touring environments. Infrared Sync comes standard on all DS8000 transmitters for easy channel allocations with the DS8000 series receiver packages. Soft switches for Low and High power modes, PAD and high pass filters ensure for proper gain structure, intelligibility and RF interference free operation. Each transmitter includes a “hard switch” that cannot be accidentally actuated by the user, to configure the user switch to be On/Off, On, Mute or bypass. DS8000 transmitters are also designed to be “eco-friendly” using field replaceable rechargeable batteries and meeting the criteria for future USGBC “LEED” points for commercial audio/video systems. This also cuts down on the typical cost of wireless investment in alkaline battery expenditures. Each transmitter includes its own charger (DS80UX-1) that plugs into the transmitter via a micro-USB connection enabling the transmitter to be charged and configured via any computer USB port. Also offered within the DS8000 series system is an 8-transmitter charging bay (DSA-Dock-8) to minimize space and electrical outlets of discrete chargers.

The DS8000 Belt-pack transmitter combines the ruggedness of location sound grade body-pack transmitters and the sleek, lightweight and low-profile designs of Broadway Theater systems. The standard TA-4 connection makes a fit with virtually any Lavaliere and Head-set microphone available. SACOM also offers a full line of Lavaliere and Headset microphones that will fit any application.
